Booking and arrival
What time is check in and check out?
Check in is from 3pm and check out is by 11am. If you are arriving early you are welcome to leave your bags with reception and use the leisure club while you wait.
Is parking free?
Yes. There is ample free parking on site for hotel guests, diners and leisure club visitors.
Why should I book direct?
Guests who book directly with the hotel, by phone or on this website, get free use of the leisure club (pool, spa bath, sauna, steam room and gym) for their whole stay. Bookings made through other websites pay the resident rate at the leisure desk. Direct bookers also get our best available rate.
Can I make a special request?
Of course. Ground floor rooms, lift access, dietary needs and anniversary touches are all common. Put the request in writing when you book and we will confirm in writing whether we can do it. Lift access reaches a limited number of rooms, so ask early.
Rooms
Is there WiFi?
Yes, free WiFi throughout the hotel, in every room and the public areas.
Do you have accessible rooms?
Two fully fitted accessible rooms on the ground floor, with widened doors, walk in showers, raised toilet seats and support rails, lowered switches and room to manoeuvre. Please call to check availability before booking. Our access statement on the policies page has the full detail.
Are dogs allowed?
Assistance dogs are always welcome. For pets, please call reception on 01305 764000 before booking so we can advise.
Do you have family rooms?
Yes. Triple, family and quad rooms sleep three or four in a mix of double and single beds. Travel cots and high chairs are available on request.
Food and drink
Do I need to be a guest to eat in the restaurant?
No, the Gallery Restaurant and Bar are open to everyone. Book a table online or call 01305 764031. For parties of more than eight, please phone.
When is the Sunday carvery?
Every Sunday from 12pm until 9pm. Adults £19.95, children £13.95. It is popular, so book a table to avoid disappointment.
Is breakfast included?
That depends on the rate you choose when booking. Breakfast is a buffet with a full English cooked to order, served from 7am to 10am every day.
Can you cater for allergies?
Yes. Menus mark gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan dishes, and many others can be adapted. Tell a member of the team about any allergy or intolerance before you order.
Leisure club
Can non residents use the pool?
Yes, the leisure club is open to the public every day. A single swim is £8.50 for adults and £5 for children aged 3 to 15, with blocks of ten and monthly memberships available. Payment is by card only.
Can children use the leisure club?
Yes, with some rules for safety. Children under 8 must be accompanied in the water, 8 to 15 year olds need an adult on the poolside, the spa bath, sauna and steam room are for age 8 and over with under 16s accompanied, and the gym is for over 16s only. There is no lifeguard.
Getting here
How far is the beach?
About a ten minute walk. Head down Dorchester Road towards town and the esplanade opens out in front of you.
How do I get here by train or bus?
Weymouth station is a ten minute walk or a short taxi ride. Buses 2, 10, X51 and X53 stop right outside the hotel on Dorchester Road, with the 10 running to and from Dorchester and the beach every few minutes. Live times are on our getting here page.
Weddings and events
How many guests can you take?
The Chesham Suite, our largest, seats up to 200. We have three main suites in all, and they are licensed for civil ceremonies so the whole day can happen in one place.
